I remember that the flight line maintenace guys always tried to grab the units that I repaired because they always worked when the put them in the plane. I just found a picture with the last names of the airmen standing in the maintenance shop in front of the APS-42 mockup. Left to right: Farmer, Binder, Dickinson, Obrian, Criddle, Hamilton and DeFlavio I remember one flight crew came into the maintenace shop because they were concerned about how the scope looked on the plane. The fellows before me had ran the hash marks (mile markers) out to the end of the trace because they thought it looked better. I calibrated them according to the specs. It looked funny to the flight crew because the hash marks did not run all the way out to the end of the trace. I remember being a bit worried when they walked in but after I showed them the proper calibration method they just said thanks and left. I don't know of any other time a flight crew came into the shop so it made quite an impression on me. Hope this info helps. Jerry Cunning
